Recovery Academy for Young Adults
We offer young adults leaving residential treatment or needing an alternative to traditional treatment a Recovery Academy. Our goal is to provide young adults, 18 – 30, a program that teaches needed life and recovery skills so they can become self-supporting young adults in sobriety. The Recovery Academy offers three houses, each with different levels of care to help our clients transition to a place where they can successfully support themselves and remain sober.

Transitional Living Services Offers Intensive Outpatient
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) serves as a preventive measure to costly in-patient admission or as a transition step from in-patient care to a less restrictive setting. Our transitional living program offer outpatient, which brings together adult men and women struggling with substance abuse disorder, in a clinical supportive setting. At Burning Tree West’s Transitional Living program, we discuss recovery by providing proven cognitive behavioral therapies and challenge dysfunctional behavior through the 12-steps and peer accountability. Our goal is to move each one of our clients to true abstinence based recovery.

Burning Tree West Sober Living
Our state licensed transitional housing for chemical dependency is designed to integrate our clients back into life slowly instead of diving in alone. Our Sober Living services are for those serious about their recovery and seek additional support and safety that a structured sober living community offers. This has been shown to be a key support for making a successful reintegration to independent living. Residents participate in community-related sober activities while working, volunteering, are engaged in some form of recovery services or continuing their education. All residents make a minimum 3-month commitment with 6 months to a year being recommended.
Dr. Dunatov was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, and from an early age had passion and dream of pursuing a career in medicine. He attended the University of Arizona for his undergraduate degree in Physiology, and completed his medical education at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE and Phoenix, AZ. During that time, he found a passion for working with individuals with mental health needs, deciding to pursue a career in psychiatry. Dr. Dunatov completed his adult psychiatry residency training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI, and went on to complete fellowship training in addiction psychiatry. One of the biggest draws to psychiatry is the ability to sit with patients, hear their stories, and offer help in addressing mental health needs that will have impacts in all facets of their lives. His passion for addiction medicine is driven by understanding addiction as a complex biological and psychosocial process, and helping patients find freedom in recovery. When not at work, Dr. Dunatov enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Travel photography and golf are two of his biggest passions outside of medicine.
